FC Cincinnati defeats Motagua in thrilling CONCACAF Champions League match
Tegucigalpa, Honduras – FC Cincinnati secured a 4-2 victory over CD Motagua in a captivating match at the Estadio José de la Paz Herrera Uclés. The game, part of the 2025 CONCACAF Champions League first round, was characterized by its intensity and back-and-forth action.
Motagua took the early lead with a goal from Roberto Auzmendi in the 42nd minute, assisted by Rony Gomez. However, Cincinnati responded with clinical efficiency. P. Bucha scored twice (28th and 77th minutes), K. Denkey added another in the 49th minute, and Evander sealed the victory in the 87th minute. Despite Motagua’s efforts, and their own first-half goal, Cincinnati’s offensive prowess proved decisive.
