Casa Pia Edges Out Rio Ave in Thrilling Encounter
Casa Pia secured a 2-1 victory over Rio Ave in a hard-fought match at the Estádio Municipal de Rio Maior in Rio Maior, Portugal. The game, part of the Primeira Liga’s 27th round, was a fast-paced affair with chances at both ends.
Rio Ave took the lead in the 21st minute with a goal from T. Morais, assisted by Andre Luiz. However, Casa Pia responded quickly, equalizing in the 30th minute through Cassiano, with an assist from L. Lelo. In the second half, Casa Pia took control. D. Tchamba scored the winning goal in the 62nd minute, again assisted by L. Lelo.
The match was a tense affair, with five yellow cards shown to Casa Pia players and one to a Rio Ave player. Despite a missed penalty by Andre Luiz for Rio Ave in the 87th minute, Casa Pia held on for the victory.
