Racing Santander Defeats Burgos in a Hard-Fought Match
Burgos, November 23, 2025 – Racing Santander claimed victory at the Estadio Municipal de El Plantío in a match corresponding to matchday 15 of the Segunda División. The game, officiated by referee Luis Bestard Servera, ended with a scoreline favoring Racing.
A game even in terms of possession, with 50% for each team, tipped in favor of Racing thanks to their greater effectiveness in front of goal. Burgos, despite controlling the ball in the same proportion, only managed one shot on target out of seven attempts.
Racing opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a goal from M. Gueye, assisted by J. Salinas. The lead was extended in the 55th minute thanks to a goal from A. Villalibre, again with an assist from J. Salinas.
The match was characterized by high intensity and a high number of fouls, 17 committed by Burgos and 15 by Racing. The referee was forced to show a total of nine yellow cards, four for Burgos (A.
