Burgos Falls to Córdoba in Thrilling Encounter
Burgos suffered a 3-4 defeat against Córdoba in a vibrant match played at the Estadio Municipal de El Plantío on May 10, 2025. Despite a higher accuracy in shots on target (10 out of 15), Burgos couldn’t contain Córdoba’s offensive push, who dominated possession (62%).
Córdoba opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a goal from P. Ortiz, assisted by C. Albarrán. Burgos quickly equalized in the 27th minute thanks to F. Nino, assisted by Alex Sancris. The second half was a rollercoaster. Córdoba regained the lead in the 58th minute with a goal from T. Zidane. Burgos responded with goals from E. D. Espiau Hernández in the 71st minute and A. Córdoba in the 77th minute, to go 3-2. However, Córdoba managed the winning goal late in the game.
