Bulgaria defeated Belarus in a thrilling match at the Stadion Vasil Levski in Sofia, corresponding to the sixth matchday of the 2024 UEFA Nations League League C. The match, refereed by Allard Lindhout (Netherlands), ended with a 1-0 victory for the Bulgarians. Bulgaria dominated possession (54%) and created more scoring chances, with 7 shots (3 on target). The only goal of the game came in the 13th minute thanks to Vladimir Panayotov, assisted by Martin Petkov. Despite an offside goal disallowed in the 7th minute for Bulgaria, Belarus put up a fight, although with less effectiveness in attack (2 shots, 1 on target).
