Racing Club Cruises to Victory Over Bucaramanga in Libertadores Clash
Bucaramanga, Colombia – Racing Club of Argentina secured a resounding 4-0 victory over Bucaramanga in a CONMEBOL Libertadores group stage match played at the Estadio Américo Montanini. Despite Bucaramanga dominating possession (72%), Racing’s clinical finishing proved decisive.
Adrián Martínez opened the scoring for Racing in the 4th minute. While Bucaramanga enjoyed more possession and shots (10 to Racing’s 12), they lacked accuracy, with only 2 shots on target compared to Racing’s 6.
Racing’s dominance continued in the second half, with goals from Solari (56′), Sosa (69′), and Barrios (90′) sealing a comfortable win. The match saw several yellow cards; two for Bucaramanga and three for Racing. The referee for the game was Augusto Bergelio Aragon Bautista from Ecuador.
