Fortaleza EC defeated Bucaramanga in a thrilling match at the Estadio Américo Montanini in Bucaramanga, Colombia, for the 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores group stage. The match, refereed by Kevin Ortega from Peru, ended with a 2-1 victory for the Brazilian team. Deyverson was the star, scoring two goals for Fortaleza, one from a missed penalty that went in and another in open play.
