Brøndby Thrash Víkingur Reykjavik in Europa Conference League
Brøndby, Denmark – In a match held at the Brøndby Stadion, Brøndby dominated Víkingur Reykjavik with a resounding victory in the 3rd Qualifying Round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. The match, refereed by Spaniard Guillermo Cuadra Fernández, was marked by an early expulsion of C. Bischoff in the 18th minute, which conditioned the rest of the match.
Despite a slightly favorable possession for Víkingur Reykjavik (51% versus Brøndby’s 49%), the Danish team was much more effective in front of goal. N. Vallys opened the scoring just before halftime, in the 45th minute, assisted by M. Kohlert. In the second half, Vallys extended the lead in the 53rd minute, assisted by S. Klaiber. F. Bundgaard scored the third goal in the 57th minute, also assisted by M. Kohlert, who would later consecrate himself by scoring the fourth goal in the 71st minute. A goal by Vallys was disallowed by VAR in the 88th minute due to offside.
