Thrilling Draw at Hayes Lane as Crewe Equalize Late
London – A captivating match at Hayes Lane saw Bromley and Crewe Alexandra finish with a 3-3 draw in League Two, round 29. Bromley, playing at home, fought hard against a Crewe side that dominated possession with 70%.
The first half saw Bromley take the lead with a goal from C. Whitely in the 31st minute. However, Crewe responded in the second half with a goal from A. Pond in the 54th minute. Bromley regained the lead in the 70th minute thanks to a goal by B. Thompson. Just when it seemed like Bromley would secure the victory, Crewe managed to equalize in the final minute thanks to M. Demetriou.
The match was intense, reflected in the yellow cards shown to A. Pond and J. March for Crewe, and to A. Charles and O. Sowunmi for Bromley. Despite having a lower possession percentage (30%), Bromley made the most of their opportunities, with similar shot-on-target efficacy as Crewe. Crewe dominated possession and had more shots overall, but could not translate that into a victory.
