Boulogne Crushes Grenoble in Dramatic Finale
Boulogne-sur-Mer, France – In a match held at the Stade de la Libération, Boulogne defeated Grenoble in a game filled with emotions and goals, especially in the second half. Despite Boulogne’s slight advantage in possession (51% versus Grenoble’s 49%), the match remained balanced until the final minutes.
Grenoble took the lead in the 35th minute with a goal by J. Benet from the penalty spot. Boulogne’s response was not long in coming, with C. Fatou equalizing the score, also from a penalty, in the 69th minute. The game opened up in the last ten minutes, with A. Platret scoring a goal from open play in the 80th minute, quickly followed by another by V. Burlet in the 82nd minute, extending Boulogne’s lead.
The encounter became even more chaotic in added time, with yellow cards for Y. Diaby of Grenoble and S. Keita of Boulogne. Keita, however, was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
