Avaí staged a comeback to defeat Botafogo SP in a thrilling match played at Estádio Santa Cruz in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo. The game, part of the 37th round of the 2024 Brazilian Serie B, ended with a 3-1 victory for Avaí. Botafogo SP took the lead in the 37th minute with a goal from Negueba, assisted by Alexandre Jesus. However, Avaí responded in the second half. Vagner Love equalized in the 61st minute, and in the closing stages, Joao Paulo (89′) and Mauricio Garcez (90′) secured the victory for Avaí.
