Borussia Dortmund defeated Barcelona in a thrilling UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash at the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in Dortmund on April 15th, 2025. The match, officiated by Maurizio Mariani of Italy, was a back-and-forth affair. Guirassy was the Dortmund hero, scoring a hat-trick: a penalty in the 11th minute, a goal in the 49th minute, and another in the 76th. Barcelona managed to pull one back thanks to a Bensebaini own goal in the 54th minute, but it wasn’t enough to stage a comeback. De Jong (Barcelona) and Nmecha (Dortmund) received yellow cards during the game.
