Boca Juniors Edges Out Argentinos Juniors in a Hard-Fought Match.
Buenos Aires, Argentina – In a quarter-final match of the Liga Profesional Argentina 2025, Boca Juniors defeated Argentinos Juniors at the Alberto José Armando stadium. Despite Argentinos Juniors dominating possession with 71% compared to Boca’s 29%, it was the team from La Ribera who secured the victory thanks to an early goal by A. Costa in the 5th minute.
The match, officiated by referee Fernando Echenique, was marked by intensity and midfield contention. Boca Juniors opted for a more direct style of play, with 4 total shots, 3 of which were on target.
