Thrilling Encounter in Gothenburg Ends in Agonizing Draw
Gothenburg, December 11, 2025 – The match between BK Hacken and AEK Larnaca, corresponding to the fifth matchday of the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage, held at Gamla Ullevi, ended with a score of one to one. Despite BK Hacken’s dominance in ball possession (59%), AEK Larnaca capitalized on their opportunities. The match, refereed by Israeli Yigal Frid, was characterized by a contested game in midfield.
AEK Larnaca’s only goal came in the 65th minute thanks to an own goal by F. Helander, after an unfortunate play. Previously, R. Bajic from AEK Larnaca had received a yellow card in the 31st minute, followed by A. Lundkvist from BK Hacken in the 62nd minute, and G. Naoum from AEK Larnaca in the 68th. BK Hacken constantly sought the rival goal, accumulating 17 shots, although only 3 of them were on target. The Swedish team’s persistence paid off in the last minute of regular time (90′), when J.
