Bayern Munich routs Heidenheim in dominant display
Bayern Munich secured a convincing 5-2 victory over 1. FC Heidenheim at the Allianz Arena in Munich. The home side completely controlled the match, enjoying 83% possession and registering 20 shots on goal, with 9 on target. Heidenheim, in contrast, managed only 2 shots on goal, both on target.
Upamecano opened the scoring in the 18th minute, assisted by Kimmich. Honsak pulled one back for Heidenheim in the 50th minute. However, Musiala scored twice (56th and 90th minutes) to extend Bayern’s lead. Goretzka added another goal in the 84th minute, assisted by Sané, while Dorsch scored Heidenheim’s second in the 86th minute. Musiala’s third goal capped off the scoring in the 90th minute. Bayern’s Peretz received a yellow card. The victory keeps Bayern firmly in the Bundesliga title race.
