Lanús defeated Barracas Central in a thrilling match played at the Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó. The game, corresponding to matchday 27 of the 2024 Argentine Professional League’s second phase, ended with a 4-3 scoreline in favor of Granate.
The match started with an exchange of goals. At the 4th minute, Bruera opened the scoring for Barracas Central. Lanús quickly responded, equalizing at the 7th minute with a goal from Pena Biafore. In the second half, Lanús took the lead with a goal from Salvio at the 47th minute and another from Bou at the 60th minute, both assisted by Marcelino Moreno. Barracas Central tried to react, scoring through Insua at the 58th minute and Cantero at the 69th minute. However, Lanús’s superiority in ball possession (68%) and the effectiveness of their shots (4 on target out of 10) ultimately decided the final result. The match was marked by tension, reflected in the yellow cards shown to players from both teams. Barracas Central had more shots (13 to 10), but Lanús was more effective.
