Barcelona Thrashes Borussia Dortmund in Champions League Thriller
Barcelona convincingly defeated Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in the Champions League quarter-final match held at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona on April 9th, 2025. Barcelona dominated possession with 61% of the ball. Raphinha opened the scoring in the 25th minute, assisted by Pedri. Lewandowski extended the lead in the 48th minute, assisted by Raphinha, and scored again in the 66th minute thanks to a pass from Ferran Lopez. Lamine Yamal completed the rout with a goal in the 77th minute, also assisted by Raphinha. Barcelona had 18 shots, 10 on target, while Dortmund managed 13 shots, only 3 on target. Adeyemi and Guirassy received yellow cards for Dortmund, while Barcelona finished the game without any cautions. The match was officiated by Espen Eskas from Norway. A clear victory that establishes Barcelona as a strong contender for the title.
