Barcelona Triumphs Over Atletico Madrid in Thrilling Copa del Rey Encounter
Barcelona, February 25, 2025.- The Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys hosted a thrilling Copa del Rey semi-final clash between FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Despite Barcelona’s territorial dominance (67% possession), the match was characterized by its intensity and fluctuating scoreline.
Atletico started strongly, scoring two quick goals: Angel Correa opened the scoring in the 1st minute assisted by Lenglet, and Griezmann extended the lead in the 6th minute with an assist from Alvarez.
