Baník Ostrava and Bohemians 1905 met in a thrilling match at the Městský stadion – Vítkovice Aréna in Ostrava, corresponding to matchday 30 of the Czech Liga. The match, refereed by Ondrej Berka, ended with a narrow victory for Bohemians 1905 thanks to an own goal by J. Vondra in the 45th minute. Despite Baník Ostrava’s higher possession (53%), Bohemians 1905 were more effective in attack, although with fewer shots. The match was marked by tension, with a total of 22 fouls (13 from Baník Ostrava and 9 from Bohemians 1905) and four yellow cards; two for Baník Ostrava (E. Prekop and M. Chalus) and one for each team (J. Vondra for Bohemians 1905). The own goal proved to be the difference in a hard-fought encounter with few clear scoring chances. Although Baník Ostrava generated more shots (11 to 8), only three of them were on target, while Bohemians 1905 managed to direct two towards the opposing goal.
