Bahia Stages Comeback to Claim Victory at Home Against RB Bragantino
Salvador, Brazil – In a thrilling match played at the Arena Fonte Nova, Bahia secured an important victory over RB Bragantino with a final score of 2 to 1. The match, corresponding to matchday 31 of the Brazilian Serie A, was marked by the intensity and physical display of both teams.
RB Bragantino took the lead in the 20th minute thanks to a goal from Matheus Fernandes, assisted by Lucas Barbosa. However, Bahia, spurred on by their fans and an overwhelming ball possession (69%), did not give up. Despite the constant fouls committed by both teams (20 by Bragantino and 11 by Bahia), the match maintained a high tempo.
The equalizer came in the 75th minute, when Willian Jose, assisted by Luciano Juba, sent the ball into the back of the net. The same Willian Jose would seal the victory for Bahia in the 90th minute, thanks to an assist from Tiago.
