Alianza Lima Secures Victory in a Hard-Fought Match in Ayacucho
Ayacucho, Peru – In a match corresponding to the fifth round of the Clausura Tournament of the Peruvian First Division, Alianza Lima defeated Ayacucho FC at the Estadio Ciudad de Cumaná. The encounter, played under the watchful eye of referee Micke Palomino, was characterized by its intensity and frequent interruptions.
While Alianza Lima dominated ball possession with 62% compared to Ayacucho FC’s 38%, the match remained balanced for much of the time. The first half was marked by yellow cards for D. Orue of Ayacucho FC and G. Gentile of Alianza Lima.
The only goal of the match came in the 76th minute, when P. Ceppelini converted a penalty for Alianza Lima. Ceppelini himself received a yellow card a minute later. The encounter also saw several more cautions to Alianza Lima players.
Regarding attacking statistics, Ayacucho FC only managed one shot, which went wide. Alianza Lima, on the other hand, attempted two shots, also off target.
