SC Braga secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over AVS at the Estádio Clube Desportivo das Aves in Vila das Aves, in matchday 12 of the Portuguese Primeira Liga. The game, refereed by Antonio Nobre, saw Braga dominate possession (69%) and create significantly more chances (17 shots, 8 on target). Despite Braga’s dominance, AVS put up a fight, committing 12 fouls and receiving 3 yellow cards and a red card for J. Teixeira in the 77th minute. Braga only received one yellow card. The only goal of the match came in the 69th minute, courtesy of G. Martinez, assisted by A. Horta. AVS, with only one shot on target, offered little threat to the Braga goal.
