Thrilling Draw in Vila das Aves Between AVS and Nacional
Vila das Aves, Portugal – In a vibrant and emotionally charged match, AVS and Nacional drew at the Estádio Clube Desportivo das Aves, in a game corresponding to matchday 15 of the Primeira Liga. The match, played on December 21, 2025, left fans on the edge of their seats.
AVS took the lead with goals from Tomane in the 35th minute and T. Akinsola in the 44th minute, assisted by D. Spencer. It seemed the home side would go into the break with a comfortable lead, but Nacional reacted in the second half. Ze Vitor pulled one back for Nacional in the 51st minute, assisted by C. Labidi, and J. Ramirez equalized in the 61st minute.
The match became complicated for AVS when R. Semedo was sent off in the 70th minute with a red card. Despite playing with ten men, AVS managed to hold on for a draw. Nacional dominated possession with 63%, while AVS settled for 37%. Nacional also surpassed AVS in shots, 19 to 15, although the difference in shots on target was smaller (6 to 3 in favor of Nacional).
