Avai Demolishes Botafogo SP at Home in Impeccable Performance
Florianópolis, Santa Catarina – In a memorable night at the Estádio Aderbal Ramos da Silva, Avai dominated Botafogo SP with a resounding victory on matchday 19 of the Brazilian Serie B. From the opening whistle, the home team set the pace, showing superiority both in ball possession (51% against 49%) and in goal-scoring effectiveness.

A goal by Thayllon was disallowed by VAR in the 84th minute due to a handball, but Alef Manga sealed the victory with another penalty in the 87th minute. The match, refereed by Paulo Belence Alves Dos Prazeres Filho, concluded with a clear demonstration of Avai’s superiority, earning them three valuable points in their quest to climb the standings. Despite Botafogo SP’s higher number of shots (14 against 11), Avai’s effectiveness was the key to the match.
