Atletico San Luis Thrashes Tigres UANL in Thrilling Quarter-Final Clash
San Luis Potosí, Mexico – Atletico San Luis convincingly defeated Tigres UANL 3-0 at the Estadio Alfonso Lastras Ramírez in a Liga MX Apertura 2024 quarter-final match. Played on November 29th, the game saw a back-and-forth battle, with Tigres holding more possession (53%), but San Luis proving more clinical in front of goal.
The match was opened in the 35th minute with an own goal by Joaquim, following a defensive error by Tigres. Atletico San Luis extended their lead in the 60th minute through a goal by Leo Bonatini, assisted by Vitinho. Vitinho sealed the victory with a goal of his own in the 64th minute, assisted by J. Guemez.
Despite Tigres’ 21 shots (7 on target), Atletico San Luis’s defense stood firm. Tigres finished the game with two yellow cards, while San Luis maintained their discipline without receiving any cautions.
