Monterrey Secures Victory in San Luis Potosí with Berterame’s Goal
San Luis Potosí, Mexico – In a hard-fought match held at the Estadio Alfonso Lastras Ramírez, Monterrey defeated Atlético San Luis in the second matchday of the Liga MX Apertura 2025. The game, officiated by Joaquin Alberto Vizcarra Armenta, was characterized by a fairly even possession battle, although with more dominance by the visiting team, reaching 58% compared to the home team’s 42%.
The first half was intense, reflected in the yellow cards shown to S. Medina (22′) and R. Chavez (38′) for Monterrey. However, joy came for Rayados in the 42nd minute when Germán Berterame, assisted by Sergio Canales, sent the ball into the back of the net, scoring the only goal of the match.
