Thrilling draw between Atlético Nacional and Santa Fe in Medellín
Medellín witnessed a vibrant match between Atlético Nacional and Santa Fe at the Estadio Atanasio Girardot, corresponding to the third matchday of the opening quadrangular of the 2025 Liga Primera A. The match, refereed by Jairo Londoño, ended in a draw that left both teams with mixed feelings.
Atlético Nacional dominated possession with 66% and generated a total of 21 shots, although only 4 found the goal. Edwin Cardona opened the scoring in the 44th minute for the home team, in a play with no apparent assist. The “verdolaga” team accumulated 4 corner kicks and committed 11 fouls, receiving a yellow card for J. Zapata.
Santa Fe, on the other hand, opted for a more direct game and took advantage of the opportunities that arose. Despite having only 34% possession, they managed to score two goals. Hugo Rodallega equalized in the 60th minute, also without an assist. In the 90th minute, Y. Velasquez sealed the definitive draw.
