Atlético Nacional defeated Millonarios 2-1 in a thrilling match played at the Estadio Atanasio Girardot in Medellín. The game, part of the fourth round of the 2024 Clausura quadrangular in the Colombian Primera A league, was officiated by Carlos Betancur. Ángelo Angulo put the home team ahead in the 9th minute, assisted by Andrés Sarmiento. Millonarios tried to respond, but Atlético Nacional controlled much of the game, boasting 53% possession and registering 16 shots on goal (7 on target). However, the second half saw a flurry of yellow cards for both sides. Radamel Falcao scored a penalty in the 84th minute to pull one back, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Millonarios’ defeat.
