Atletico Nacional Edges Bahia in Thrilling Libertadores Clash
Medellín, May 14, 2025 – Atletico Nacional secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Bahia in a gripping CONMEBOL Libertadores group stage match at the Estadio Atanasio Girardot. Argentine referee Dario Herrera oversaw the encounter.
While Atletico Nacional enjoyed slightly more possession (55% to 45%), the match was a closely contested affair. An early goal by Kevin Viveros was disallowed for offside in the 2nd minute. Nacional created more chances, registering 10 shots (only 2 on target), while Bahia managed 6 shots with 2 on goal.
The winning goal arrived in the 46th minute, courtesy of Viveros, assisted by Arce.
