Atlético Goianiense and Retrô played a thrilling Copa Do Brasil match at Estádio Antônio Accioly in Goiânia, Goiás on March 13th, 2025. The match, refereed by Wagner do Nascimento Magalhaes, ended 5-4 to Retrô after a penalty shootout.
Retrô took the lead in the 40th minute with a goal from Maycon Douglas. Atlético Goianiense equalized in the 60th minute with a goal from Caio Dantas. A dramatic extra time period led to a penalty shootout. Retrô proved more accurate, scoring four out of their five penalties (Lucas Grafite, Ericson, Radsley and an unattributed one) while Atlético Goianiense only converted two (Willian Pottker and an unattributed one), resulting in a narrow victory for the visiting team.
