Atlas defeats Puebla in a thrilling match played at the Estadio Jalisco in Guadalajara. The game, corresponding to matchday 7 of the 2024 Clausura Liga MX, ended with a 4-2 victory for the home team. Despite having less possession (37% vs 63%), Puebla put up a strong defense and managed to score two goals. The first came in the 33rd minute, scored by E. Orona, assisted by R. Castillo. Puebla’s second goal was scored by R. Marín in the 50th minute, also assisted by R. Castillo. However, Atlas, with greater attacking efficiency (17 shots to Puebla’s 8), managed to come back. U. Djurdjevic scored two goals, one from a penalty in the 44th minute and another in the 90th minute. D. González added another goal in the 90th minute to seal the victory.
