Necaxa Rout Atlas in Thrilling Encounter at Estadio Jalisco
Guadalajara, Mexico – Necaxa dominated Atlas with a resounding 4-0 victory in a thrilling match at Estadio Jalisco on February 19th, in the Liga MX Clausura’s matchday 9. Despite a balanced possession (50% each), Necaxa’s clinical finishing proved decisive.
The game started at a fast pace. D. Cambindo opened the scoring for Necaxa in the 23rd minute, assisted by A. Mayorga. An offside goal disallowed for Necaxa in the 28th minute temporarily halted their momentum. However, before halftime, A. Palavecino extended the lead for the visitors with an assist from P. Perez (43′).
In the second half, Necaxa continued their dominance. A. Palma scored the third in the 70th minute, assisted by J. Paradela, virtually sealing the victory. Finally, T. Badaloni added the final goal in the 90th minute, assisted by E. Unsain, resulting in a clear 4-0 victory.
Atlas, despite their 9 shots (2 on target), failed to seriously threaten the Necaxa goal. The match was characterized by intensity, reflected in Atlas’s 13 fouls and Necaxa’s 21, as well as the yellow cards shown to both teams.
