Thrilling Match at San Mamés Ends with Athletic Club Victory
Bilbao, August 17, 2025 – The San Mamés Stadium witnessed a vibrant La Liga match between Athletic Club and Sevilla, which ended with a score of 3-2 in favor of the home team. The match, corresponding to the first matchday of the 2025 season, was full of intensity from the opening whistle.
Athletic Club took the lead thanks to a penalty converted by N. Williams in the 36th minute, after a very contested first half. Shortly after, M. Sannadi extended the lead for the home side in the 43rd minute, leaving Sevilla in a difficult situation before the break.
