Athletic Club and CRB played an exciting match at Estádio Raimundo Sampaio in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, on April 13th, 2025, for the second round of the 2025 Brazilian Serie B. The game, refereed by Fernando Antonio Mendes de Salles Nascimento Filho, ended in a 2-2 draw.
Lincoln put Athletic Club ahead in the 29th minute, assisted by Edson Miranda. However, CRB equalized through Gege in the 53rd minute. The second half saw a flurry of yellow cards: Max (44′), Sidimar (60′), and Wesley Gasolina (60′) for Athletic Club, and Gege (69′) and Douglas Baggio (78′) for CRB. Douglas Baggio scored a late equalizer for CRB in the 90th minute, resulting in a 2-2 final score. Both teams had almost equal possession (50% each), although Athletic Club had more shots on target (8 vs 3).
