AS Trenčín Secures Narrow Victory Over Komárno
AS Trenčín claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win against Komárno at the Mestský futbalový štadión Na Sihoti in Trenčín on April 5th, 2025. The match, part of the fourth round of the Slovak Super Liga Relegation Round, was officiated by Marian Ruc.
AS Trenčín dominated possession (83%), scoring the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute through D. Jepihhin, assisted by A. Fiala. Despite their significant possession advantage, goal-scoring opportunities were limited for both sides. Komárno, with only 17% possession, barely threatened the opposing goal. The only card of the match was a yellow card shown to Komárno’s D. Spiriak in the 20th minute.
