Roma Stages Comeback Victory Against Ten-Man Como at the Olimpico
AS Roma secured a 3-1 win against Como at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, in a Serie A matchday 27 clash. The game, characterized by a Como player’s red card and numerous yellow cards, was full of excitement until the final whistle.
Como took the lead in the 44th minute with a goal from Lucas Da Cunha, assisted by Matías Perrone. However, Roma responded in the second half. Andrea Saelemaekers leveled the score in the 61st minute, thanks to an assist from Zeki Çelik. With Como down to ten men following M. O. Kempf’s red card in the 63rd minute, Artem Dovbyk sealed the comeback victory with a goal in the 76th minute, assisted by Diego Rensch.
The match was a hard-fought encounter, with Como exhibiting greater possession (52%) and committing more fouls (18), while Roma boasted superior accuracy in shots on target (4 to 3). Italian referee Luca Pairetto issued seven yellow cards to Como players and two to Roma players, in addition to the aforementioned red card.
