Arsenal Triumphs Over Monaco in Thrilling Champions League Encounter
Arsenal defeated Monaco 3-0 in a thrilling match at the Emirates Stadium in London on December 11th, 2024, in the sixth matchday of the UEFA Champions League group stage. The match, refereed by Davide Massa of Italy, was marked by Arsenal’s dominance, controlling 55% of possession.
Bukayo Saka opened the scoring in the 34th minute with an assist from Gabriel Jesus. Saka scored again in the 78th minute, this time assisted by Kai Havertz, who sealed the victory with a goal in the 88th minute, assisted by Saka.
The match was not without tension. Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Ødegaard received yellow cards for Arsenal, while Vanderson received a yellow for Monaco. Arsenal had numerous shots (16 in total, 8 on target), while Monaco only managed 7 (2 on target).
