Charleroi Triumphs Over Antwerp in Thrilling Match at Bosuilstadion
Charleroi secured a 3-1 victory against Antwerp on Sunday, December 8th, in Deurne. The match, part of the 17th round of the Jupiler Pro League and held at the Bosuilstadion, was officiated by Jan Boterberg. Charleroi’s efficiency proved key to their win.
N. Stulic opened the scoring for Charleroi in the 2nd minute and added another goal in the 55th minute. S. Andreou scored Charleroi’s second goal in the 49th minute. Antwerp managed a late consolation goal through a penalty converted by T. Chery in the 90th minute. Despite Antwerp’s superior possession (56%), Charleroi’s superior finishing (7 goals from 17 shots on target) decided the game. Both teams received two yellow cards each.
