Gençlerbirliği Thrashes Ankaragücü in Thrilling Ankara Match
Ankara, April 6, 2025 – Gençlerbirliği secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Ankaragücü in a matchday 32 clash of the 1. Lig, played at the Eryaman Stadyumu in Ankara. The match, officiated by Hasova, Gurcan, was dominated by the visitors’ attacking prowess.
M. Nalepa opened the scoring in the 14th minute, assisted by M. Mimaroglu. Mimaroglu doubled the lead in the 27th minute, with the assist coming from A. Babacan. Leo Gaucho sealed the win with a third goal in the 39th minute, again set up by Mimaroglu. Ankaragücü, despite enjoying more possession (57%), were outmatched in shots on target, managing only 4 compared to Gençlerbirliği’s 6. Dalcio and O. Aktas received yellow cards for the home team. Despite their efforts, Ankaragücü failed to create enough clear-cut chances to trouble the opposing goal.
