Anderlecht Dominates Sheriff Tiraspol in Brussels
Anderlecht convincingly defeated Sheriff Tiraspol in a match held at Lotto Park in Brussels, as part of the 3rd Qualifying Round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Belgian team, with 52% possession, dominated the game and created more scoring opportunities.
The scoring opened early, in the 17th minute, with a goal by N. Angulo, assisted by I. Camara. The first half saw Anderlecht controlling the tempo of the match, while Sheriff tried to contain their attacks. In the second half, K. Dolberg extended the lead in the 48th minute, thanks to an assist from Y. Verschaeren.
Sheriff Tiraspol, despite having 48% possession, did not manage to trouble the Anderlecht’s goal with the same frequency. Finally, Y. Verschaeren sealed the victory for Anderlecht in the 81st minute, assisted by A. Bertaccini, solidifying a resounding win. The match was marked by intense play, reflected in the 15 fouls committed by Anderlecht and the 7 by Sheriff Tiraspol, as well as the yellow cards shown to both teams.
