Amed Secures Home Victory Against Yeni Çorumspor
Diyarbakır, Turkey – Amed secured a valuable victory at the Diyarbakir Stadium against Yeni Çorumspor in a hard-fought match corresponding to matchday 20 of the 1. Lig. Despite conceding ball possession to Yeni Çorumspor (63% compared to Amed’s 37%), the home team proved more incisive in attack.
The scoring was opened on the stroke of halftime, in the 45th minute, with a goal by M. Diagne following an assist from M. Ucar. Diagne himself had the opportunity to extend the lead at the start of the second half, but missed a penalty in the 59th minute. Yeni Çorumspor, despite having more of the ball, only managed one shot on target, reflecting the defensive solidity shown by Amed.
