Almeria Draws at Home Against Deportivo La Coruña After Late Comeback
Almería, Spain – In a hard-fought match at the UD Almería Stadium, Almería and Deportivo La Coruña played to a two-goal draw in their match corresponding to the 22nd round of the Spanish Segunda División. Almería dominated possession with 52%, but Deportivo generated more danger, with 21 total shots compared to Almería’s 12.
Almería took the lead in the 13th minute thanks to a goal by Leo Baptistao, assisted by A. Embarba. Deportivo responded in the second half, with a goal from Y. Hernandez in the 49th minute. The match remained balanced until the final stretch, when S. Mulattieri scored for Deportivo in the 80th minute, giving the visitors the lead. Despite Almería’s late efforts and palpable tension on the field which resulted in several yellow cards for both teams, the score remained unchanged, leaving the final result a draw. The match referee, Miguel Gonzalez Diaz, showed a total of seven yellow cards, four for Almería and three for Deportivo.
