Alianza Lima Secures a Convincing Home Victory Against Universidad Católica
Lima – In a match held at the Estadio Alejandro Villanueva, Alianza Lima convincingly defeated Universidad Católica, strengthening their position in the Round of 16 of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana. Under the watchful eye of Argentine referee Leandro Rey Hilfer, Alianza dominated the match with 58% possession, showing superiority in ball control and creating a greater number of scoring opportunities.
Although both teams sought to find the net, with Alianza Lima accumulating 20 shots (7 on target and 9 off target) compared to Universidad Católica’s 17 (5 on target and 10 off target), the home team’s effectiveness made the difference.
