Aldosivi pulled off an upset victory over Unión Santa Fe in a thrilling match at the Estadio José María Minella in Mar del Plata. Despite Unión Santa Fe enjoying a significant possession advantage (63%), Aldosivi emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline. The game, part of the 11th round of the 2025 Argentine Professional League’s First Phase, saw Unión Santa Fe receive two early yellow cards for Paz and Corvalán in the 17th and 18th minutes respectively. Aldosivi took the lead in the 19th minute through E. Torres, assisted by L. Chávez. Unión Santa Fe dominated possession and shots (24 to 13), but Aldosivi’s clinical finishing proved decisive. Leiva added a second for the home side in the 74th minute, before Gamba pulled one back for Unión Santa Fe in the 89th minute. Despite their dominance, Unión Santa Fe couldn’t complete the comeback.
