Rayo Vallecano Edges Out Alaves in Thrilling Match at Mendizorroza
Vitoria-Gasteiz, March 29, 2025.- Rayo Vallecano defeated Alaves 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at the Estadio de Mendizorroza in Matchday 29 of La Liga 2024. The match was characterized by its intensity and a high number of yellow cards, with five for Rayo and three for Alaves.
Rayo took the early lead with a goal from Ciss in the 2nd minute, assisted by Lopez. However, Alaves equalized with a missed penalty by Joan Jordan (who also provided the assist for the goal).
