Al-Ittihad FC Crushes Al Wehda Club in Mecca Thriller
Al-Ittihad FC secured a resounding 4-1 victory over Al Wehda Club in a Pro League match played at the King Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Mecca. The game, officiated by Argentina’s Sebastian Zunino, saw Al-Ittihad dominate possession with 71%.
Goals from Mohamed Al Shanqiti (37′), Karim Benzema (45′), Steven Bergwijn (60′), and Houssem Aouar (90′) sealed the win for Al-Ittihad. Benzema also provided two assists. Jawad El Yamiq scored for Al Wehda in the 42nd minute.
Despite the loss, Al Wehda managed 10 shots (6 on target), but Al-Ittihad’s superior possession and shot count (18 shots, 5 on target) proved decisive. Al-Ittihad also dominated in corners, 6-0. The match remained clean with no yellow or red cards shown.
