Al Taawon Overwhelms a Decimated Damac in Buraidah
Buraidah, Saudi Arabia – Al Taawon delivered a commanding performance against Damac in a match held at the Al Taawon Arena, for the fifth round of the Pro League. The match, refereed by Mohammed Khled Hoish, ended with a lopsided score in favor of the home team.
Al Taawon demonstrated their superiority from the start, taking control of the ball and creating numerous scoring opportunities. W. Al Ahmad opened the scoring in the 11th minute, quickly followed by S. Mandash in the 13th minute. Damac responded with a goal from V. Vada in the 31st minute, but the sending off of H. Al Ghamdi in the 40th minute further complicated their chances.
The second half continued with Al Taawon’s dominance, benefiting from an own goal by J. Harkass in the 53rd minute. The expulsion of David Kaiki at the 59′ mark left Damac with nine players, burying their hopes of a comeback. Al Taawon capitalized on their numerical advantage to extend the lead with goals from R. B. Martinez Tobinson in the 68th minute, B. Al Hurayji in the 87th minute, and R. Faivre in the 88th minute, sealing a resounding victory.
Al Taawon exhibited a clear dominance in ball possession (58%) and generated a large number of shots (16), while Damac, with 42% possession and only 6 shots, was outmatched both in play and on the scoreboard.
