Persepolis FC defeats Al-Rayyan SC in a thrilling AFC Champions League encounter
Al Rayyan, Qatar – In a vibrant match played at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Persepolis FC triumphed over Al-Rayyan SC with a 2-1 scoreline in the fifth matchday of the 2024 AFC Champions League group stage. The match, refereed by Ming Fu from China, was marked by intensity and goal-scoring opportunities for both teams.
Persepolis took the lead early with a goal from F. Faraji in the 17th minute, assisted by A. Alipour. However, Al-Rayyan responded with a goal from A. Bencharki in the 58th minute, assisted by A. Hatem, tying the score. Tension increased in the second half, with several yellow cards shown to players from both teams. Ultimately, Persepolis managed to secure the victory.
