Al-Raed Triumphs Over Al Orubah in Thrilling Buraidah Encounter
Al-Raed secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Al Orubah at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. The match, part of the 2024 Saudi Pro League’s round 11, was officiated by Majed Mohammed Al-Shamrani. Despite Al Orubah enjoying a higher possession rate (54%), Al-Raed’s clinical finishing proved decisive.
I. Kandouss gave Al Orubah an early lead with a goal in the 11th minute, assisted by J. Gudmundsson. However, Al-Raed quickly responded. S. Al Amri equalized in the 18th minute, and K. El Berkaoui scored twice, once in the 24th and again in the 58th minute, the latter assisted by A. Sayoud. A. Sayoud received a yellow card in the 42nd minute, while K. Muhar of Al Orubah also received a yellow card in the 53rd minute. Further yellow cards were shown to Al-Raed players Z. Al Hawsawi (77′) and M. Normann (87′). Al-Raed’s dominance in shots on target (3-1) ultimately sealed their victory despite Al Orubah’s greater possession.
