Al-Raed Edges Al-Ettifaq 1-0 in Tense Buraidah Encounter
Buraidah, Saudi Arabia – Al-Raed secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Al-Ettifaq in a thrilling match at the Al Raid Club Stadium. The game, part of the Saudi Pro League’s 23rd round, was characterized by tension and numerous yellow cards.
Despite Al-Ettifaq’s clear possession advantage (69%), Al-Raed proved more clinical in attack. M. Normann’s goal in the 64th minute, assisted by Y. Bouzok, proved to be the winner. Al-Ettifaq created chances, but only three of their eight shots were on target, and they also had a goal disallowed by VAR in the 69th minute.
The match was a flurry of yellow cards, with seven cautions in total: three for Al-Raed (M. Normann, Z. Al Hawsawi, and Y. Bouzok) and four for Al-Ettifaq (M. Abdulrahman, M. Al Olayan, A. Madu, and A. Al Malki). Despite Al-Ettifaq’s dominance in possession and shots, Al-Raed’s efficiency and solid defense secured them the win. A late goal by A. A.
